I hold my breath by Armenida Qyqja

Keep on the lookout for Golden Armor by Armenida Qyqja to be released by Transcendent Zero Press this year

On the border of the night that keeps pushing and pushing,

Burns this charred dusk,

The night knows no satiety, leaves him no room to breathe

And I’m the only one that feels his pain…

Moment of anguish and your hand isn’t here

To hold mine, tight,

And your chest is too faraway

To shelter us both in there…

I hold my breath inside my lungs

To spare the air till you come,

While I watch how the dusk loses

Even the last flame on his lips, hopelessly…

  1. Beautiful poem Armenida! You’re such a talented poet! The verses flow so softly and sweetly, even though they carry and transmit some complex feelings of love, longing and pain! The narrative is so well interwoven with the nature’s phenomena and it gives the reader the refreshing feelings of a spring breeze. Well Done!
