Description: Donella Dornwell is a survivor. Rather than play the role of victim, she chooses to put her passions and energies into poetry. In this collection, Dornwell takes you on a journey through the mind of a mentally ill woman, her journey to faith, endurance and eventually to hope. Dornwell reveals the heart of an illness that shapeshifts, that confuses and obscures the truth of things, and blinds its victims to the heart of life. She accomplishes this in her poetic form.
Author bio: Donella M. Dornwell has been writing poetry since she was thirteen. She had many poems published in literary magazines in middle school and high school. More recently she had poems published in the Austin International Poetry Festival’s di-verse-city anthologies.
