Untitled Poem by Dustin Pickering

Deep in the mouth cradles an urge,
Powerful and sublime, to calm fires
Of surreal nothingness.
Eat the ripe, soft fruit of hope!
As it falls from the shading tree,
Hold the light, dream love,
And fold the spirit in a yawn.
