You move me.
You move me like a tidal wave,
rush me to the shore —
pretend to let me go
but then you always pull me back
into your depths
and into your arms
where I can bury my face in your chest
and find the rest
of us looking for answers,
finding a sea of questions instead
You move me.
You move me like the wind,
carry me across the world
pretend to let me go
but you’re always waiting for me
on the other side of the boundary
lines and you breathe me in
and blow me out into your wind
where I can fly freely
to the places in between
you and me
that keep us together
kissing under trees
My love, you move me.
You move me in the way that they all moved me
But in a more special way
In a less subtle way
Intensely
You move me in the way that my hand moves my pen
across a blank canvas
and creates green heartbeat lines
out of the words we tell each other
on nights when all we can feel
are our hearts
beating as one.
You move me
the way my heart moves
when it skips a beat for you.
Beautiful… very “Moving”
