Tomorrow by Dustin Pickering

River Itchen watermeadows, Winchester, Hampshire, England

Tomorrow my winds will host the sail
That will carry me through deep voids of river.
Senseless my heart strains, expecting to see
Some quiet night. Love is universal treasure
And separation is a trying sorrow,
And remembering your heart’s glance at moon’s
Sweet glow is only a daytime grief.
Take heed, my love, as I pen my silence.
Your eyes, jewels of spirit, have always
Been my primary image.
The heart cannot flee it’s wounds.
The prophets sought God in dry deserts.
I sought you in my dreams and never knew
Your innocent kiss, it’s healing sweetness,
Until tonight, the night we part.
