Chamber of Sodium by Rajendra Ojha (Nayan)

You’re trying to eat peas, my dear,

Not colonizing the continent.

Even the Royals can’t manage it,

Unless they’ve ever fed themselves.

For one with common sense,

Doesn’t need a fork to eat corn.

Remember, we are here on earth,

Trying to explore its chamber of secrets.

Would it be too much to ask,

That we finally make up our minds?

Oh, sorry, you’re actually trying to eat peas,

Not colonizing the continent.

Bits of cold butter and slices of bread,

Even a small fraction of them mimics our fight for existence.

Track the lineage of each combat ever held;

The conduct is clear as crystal, if you seek to behold.

Your blood is free to divorce you,

If caught hooking up illegally with sodium.

Imagine what level of enmity must exist,

Where even the butter and bread could end us?
