जब तानाशाह बन्छ

उसलाई पनि गाह्रो हुन्छ

दयालाग्दो गरी गाह्रो हुन्छ!!

जोकर हो

एउटा पाटाे

स्वभावले नै सडक रोज्छ

सडकमा

मोजा कानमा उनेर हसाउँछ

कट्टु शिरमा तुनेर हसाउँछ

तानाशाह हो

अर्को पाटाे

सडक नभैदिए, सडक नरहिदिए

ढुक्कले निदाउँछु सोच्छ

सडकको 

आवाज दबाउने 

उपाय खोज्छ!!

आफैँभित्र जब दुई धार

दुई अवतार

सक्रिय हुन्छन् 

ऊ पद भुल्छ, प्रतिष्ठा भुल्छ

आफ्नो विगत, आगत भुल्छ !

जोकर

तानाशाह बन्ने धुनमा

आफूलाई त सकसमा पार्छ – पार्छ

सारा भुइँ मान्छेका सपना मार्छ।।!

When a Joker Becomes a Dictator 

A joker 

Finds it awfully suffocating 

When he becomes a dictator, 

High chance that 

You might pity him

For how difficult his situation is. 

He is a Joker, 

His one ideal

Seeks the street, 

Where he stages his laughter by 

Wearing his shocks on his ears & 

His half-pant on his head. 

He is a dictator too, 

His next ideal 

Is that if there had never and ever 

Been the street, 

He would sleep a sound sleep, 

And would fathom mysterious ways 

To ignore the raising voices 

From the street. 

When what works 

Is a double-edged sword 

And double identity

In him, 

He cares to forget his position, 

Forgets his prestige, 

Forgets his past, 

Forgets his major gains that last. 

A Joker! 

In being a dictator

Not only

Drags himself into crisis 

But kills all the dreams 

Of the common people.
