Footsteps of Love by Sushant Thapa

I invite you
To miles and miles
Of promised lands.
I kiss the togetherness
Of dawn and dusk,
Stitched by longing
To be one in this shredded world.
I pause in my life
To give a glance at the love
You bring,
Like the jubilant rain
Bringing the dance home.
I am a free soul,
A divine being who has spilled
In solitude the meaning of life.
It still trickles like honey
And some musical geometry.
The winter is fading away
There is no agony that burns
In the fireplace,
I lift an empty cup
And ask life,
Can we give birth
To a third heart of love?
You and I,
And fill it to the brim
To ease the thirst
Of togetherness.
Solitude is silent enough
To hear the music
That brings
Footsteps of love.
