We will no longer be able to provide physical copies of the journal to contributors. We will provide PDF copies. We will provide physical copies to subscribers, so if you are not a subscriber please see the Front Page and subscribe!
Below please find our submission guidelines:
Submit no more than five poems either in the body of the email or as a WORD attachment in legible font. Translations are accepted, but please provide a bio of the poet in translation as well as one of the translator.
We’re seeking the same innovative and compelling writing HA always digs.
This holds true to Harbinger Asylum’s belief that, no, you don’t need to know terms like “a priori”, “praxis”, or “axiomatic.” You just need to know your own voice. We publish protest poems from the frontlines. We enjoy the subtle language of mystical experience. You know the deal: We don’t want timid or ranting verse. We want your heart, your love, your tenderness. We also want your anger and your pissed off litanies. Send us your best and send us your changelings. Send 1-5 poems max. Start now!
Submit to: Editor@transcendentzeropress.org. Please put “SUBMISSION” in the header.
Harbinger Asylum is a quarterly publication. Authors retain the rights to their work and may choose to submit them elsewhere after publication. We also consider previously published work, but we would like to know where the work was submitted.
Deadlines for each quarter:
May I submit a poem that appeared in draft form (different now) on the Tupelo Press site as a part of my 30/30 with them?

Could you give me more details? Is this a poem you submitted to us, or is there a deal between you and another publisher? Thanks.

So sorry it seems that I never replied! My 30/30 poems have now been taken down by Tupelo, it was a place to post a new draft poem daily. The finished poem I had originally thought of for you has been published by someone else, but I have several more that are unpublished (one from that set ) and others that I will submit to you. Thank you

Can I submit poems awaiting confirmation of receipt/acceptance from SyZyGy poetry Journal?

The rules are normally that similtaneous submissions are acceptable, but if a poem is accepted by one journal all other journals you submitted it to have to be notified immediately.
Right now, there is not an iota of space left for our Fall edition. Perhaps you would like to submit after Obtober 15th?

Do you accept a poetry manuscript? Where to send?
LikeLike
We do, but right now we have a lot of submissions to handle and probably won’t have time and money to publish for some time.

Yes we do, when there is time available for us to put in. Right now, I have many manuscripts heading toward book status and have limited time for acquiring new writing. If you want to submit to our poetry journal, then do so at Editor@transcendentzeropress.org.

Do you produce chapbooks or poetry books? If yes, what are your submission guidelines for that sort of project?

We publish full collections and chapbooks. We recently released our first chapbook by Scott Thomas Outlar called Songs of a Dissident. You can find it on Amazon or CreateSpace. Full collections are included on our Front Page. Right now, we are not considering books but are focusing on the literary journal Harbinger Asylum. Thank you for asking.

Might you be interested in a few more poems, these are centred, about the Christian and the sexuality, and relationships, with dark overtones,. And some on spirituality, I had sent some to you, happily you took, one for the Harbinger Asylum Magazine, I ‘d be tempted to send some more to you; if you accept simultaneously submissions? I also have three manuscripts, both of these unpublished if you’re interested? sincerely yours Ray Burt
